I'm doing this, because I wanted to figure out what animals lived in my home country (the Netherlands) during the Mesozoic. There's also a few other places with Mesozoic fossils besides the Maastricht formation, but those are less rich in their diversity in fauna. And I will need this for a big thing I'll do for school next year, but that's not the main reason I assembled this.
I also did this because Wikipedia's list of paleobiota of Maastricht is.....lacking in detail. It's much smaller than the list I've compiled, at least. And it's a wee bit out of date (Liodon sectorius might actually be Prognathodon sectorius) . I'll make this journal more than a list, it will be a constantly updating information page with lots of specific information and links to open-acces papers on it.
